Labbrand was the Silver Sponsor of this year’s Asia Pacific 2012 conference organized by ESOMAR, a global association for market, social and opinion researchers with more than 5000 individual members in over 130 countries. The Asia Pacific 2012 was themed “Asia Kaleidoscope” to reflect the strength of diversity in Asia and the changing perception of value. This event included one day of interactive workshops and two days of formal conference programs. Attendees included variety professionals from different backgrounds and various global brands such as Unilever, Coca-Cola, Google, Intel, Kraft and more. ESOMAR Asia Pacific 2012 explored the challenges of pioneering adaptability, innovation and customizing to drive growth by looking through the lenses of Asia’s kaleidoscope.

The papers presented discussed topics such as using innovative methodologies to understand consumers in the e-commerce era which include text-analysis-based potential user observation, B2C user shopping experience investigation and more. The approach to bring mobile into research is also emphasized by discussing a global study on consumer smartphone usage across 30 countries. Global Asian youth culture, the rise of micro-multinationals, and optimizing advertising ROI were also examined.
